Nicotine? Where and How?

New laws from October 1st 2021

From October 1st 2021 Aussies who wish to import nicotine from overseas will need a prescription to legally do so.

So where do i get a prescription?

For all nicotine import information and how to get a prescription please visit Dr. Colin Mendelsohn's website here: https://colinmendelsohn.com.au/nicotine-prescriptions/

Why don’t we sell Nicotine ?

The sale of nicotine is illegal under the NSW Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Regulation 2008.

However you can order Nicotine from overseas for personal use. The limit on how much you can order is, up to 3 months supply at a time.

Where can I purchase Nicotine ?

Nicotine can be obtained from Overseas, there are a quite a few reputable vendors that are extensively used in the Australian vape community.

What Nicotine strength do I get ?

0mg: Is the ideal option for those enjoying vaping absent nicotine, or trying to quit nicotine.

3mg: Is commonly used by users of more “sub-Ohm” tank systems or high powered systems. Sometimes, it is because they just like vaping, and want to vape with great frequency (using more puffs to get the same amount of nicotine) Using a high nicotine strength e-liquid with a sub-Ohm atomiser has much more impact than it does through a standard starter kit/cartomizer.

6mg: Strength is generally a good starting option for those who are current moderate/light smokers and are planning to use a “tank” device or an atomiser.

12 -18mg: For heavy smokers especially if you are using a pod system or cartomizer (small compact vaporiser). Our recommendation is to start lower and increase the strength if you don’t find it satisfying. Nicotine has a flavour all its own which will alter the true flavour of your e-Liquid.

What is Nicotine Salts ?

Warning: Only use Nicotine Salts E-Liquid in low powered devices (MTL/Low-Wattage), due to the almost immediate absorption rate of nicotine salt, nicotine overdose can be possible when vaped rapidly or used in high powered devices (High Wattage/Sub Ohm)

Nicotine Salt is the natural state that nicotine is in while in tobacco leaves.

Nicotine Salt e-juice allow consumers to vape higher nicotine strengths without the rough throat hit that is found in traditional e-juices when compared at the same nicotine level.

 Whats the difference ?

From a vaping perspective, the difference between freebase nicotine and nicotine salt is simply how it affects your vaping experience.

A noticeable difference is the harshness caused by higher nicotine strengths. Freebase nicotine has a higher pH level that affects the alkalinity, which makes it harsher as you climb the nicotine ladder. Whereas, nicotine salt has a lower alkalinity due to the benzoic acid which gives you a reportedly smoother throat hit.
